Canadian Privacy Reform is Coming- Are You Ready?
Privacy legislation such as GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Quebec's new privacy Bill 64 are examples of aggressive legislation designed to protect individuals' privacy. PIPEDA, Canada's version of this, is fundamentally outdated and lacks the teeth to enforce the protections needed. This is about to change over the next two years by introducing an updated and supposedly stringent privacy law.
